The following face recognition algorithms are considered and tested: 
1) face parts template matching algorithm, 
2) DCT-based algorithm and 
3) algorithm for matching correspondent points using dynamic programming. 
Experimental results show that DCT-based algorithm performs better than 
other two algorithms on the same database. This is due mainly to its 
relatively more high robustness to illumination direction changes, 
as well as to out of plane rotations of images.
