At the present stage of developing of methods, algorithms and formats of compact representation of the multimedia information on leading positions there are the methods using wavelets-data conversion. However JPEG-technologies of compression of maps remain the most spread among mass users. Thus, improvement of quality of JPEG-compression of maps remains actual and today. In operation possibility of usage of correlation between like coefficients of fragments of the map that allows to receive smoother allocation of coefficients of discrete cosine conversion, on all components of chrominance, before entropy encoding surveyed. The comparative quantitative is reduced and quality standard of association of an aspect ratio from standard errors. The perspective of developing of a method of JPEG-compression of maps with usage of the adaptive algorithms of handling is designated.
